Last year in Brixen, Italy

The Road to Italy is paved with good intentions.

I had intended on being packed by at least today, I am not. (not even close)
I had intended to confirm a place that we could sleep our first night in Germany, I have not.
I had intended to write down all the address of people I want to send postcards to, I have not.
I had intended to read about some of the places that we are going, I have not.

I will probably end up spending the day tomorrow at the pool avoiding my responsibility of getting ready for this trip. I have high hopes to spend the morning doing any last minute or in my case first minute items for the trip.
Tomorrow night we get to find out what flights are leaving from what base and which one on Saturday or Sunday we are going to try to hop on. How exciting to not know what state we will fly out of (Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey) and what country we will fly into (Germany, Italy - last week they went to the Azors - that might be fun)

In the past two days we have changed some of our travel plans and cut out parts of southern Italy, I can't believe I will stress so much about the color of bow in my daughters hair on a Sunday but am so relaxed about packing and traveling to Europe.

hey kristi- so i have a question about getting back. for example, i know that there are flights from here to hickam in hawaii all the time, but i never see any coming back in from there. ?! maybe this is better an email question for when you get back. :)

You'll have a great time. I love your totally kick back attitude. Can't wait to hear all about it when you get home.

I know you're pretty relaxed about all of this, but I don't know how! I get so bunged up before I go on a trip because I want to leave everything at home in perfect order and try to take care of all my responsibilities and such. I'm sure I get more worked up than necessary, maybe I'll try your way next time.

Have you gotten online to put your mail on hold yet?

Ehh, You will get there, ready or not, just enjot the pool! You'll probably have plenty of time to read when you drug your kids on the long flight so you can read. Oh wait, did I say you, I mean t ME, I would drug them.. YOu will get reading time on the flight at some point. Do get som eplaces to rest your weary heads, eveything else is going to fall into place, it can't help but, its the pink luck!

I just don't know if I could be so up in the air about what country or state we'd be flying out of. Is it more relaxing this time, then your last trip - because you know what to expect? Good Luck either way and have a great time Kristi!

Wow, you are brave to not have one thing packed. Nothing like flying by the seat of your pants. :) Have so much fun! Can't wait to read the trip updates while you are there, or when you get back!

I can't believe you are so relaxed and easygoing about it all, either! Truly amazing. And, I don't even know where the Azors is... now I feel dumb.
