Sometimes it pays to manic!

it is 2:00 pm and I have...

  • got up at 5:30 am and didn't even try to go back to sleep
  • ran - (ha!) completed 17 miles on foot today
  • listened to the entire book of the Alchemist while running (see it pays to be slow) AMAZING BOOK!
  • Grilled lunch on the "Barbie"
  • made an Apple pie for Jeff (huge sacrifice because I don't like apple pie)
Now I hope to finish the laundry all over my bed so that I can find a place to take a nap.

yes, I know that JC loves apple pie. So does HRC, DC, DCC, ES, MS, etc. I make them but do not eat them. Great that you had a 17 mile run. WOW!!! Someday I would like to walk 5 miles without getting shin splints. Persistence!

Incredible Kristy, incredible. Good for you. It's fun reading about you preparing for your run this year...last year's surprise was wonderful, but it's fun to hear about the prep this year.

I needed to be a maniac today and it didn't happen. It's so hard with a house full of people! Great job! Especially on the 17 miles and the pie you don't like!

I could definitely use a bit of manic around here... 17 miles, wow! I can't imagine being able to listen to an entire audiobook in one fell swoop, how great!

Making apple pie would really be a sacrifice for me as well. I usually only make cream pies.

Hmm, I got up at 2:30am (side effect sudafed) and got an amazing amount done, but only ran 2 miles 'cause I am just a baby runner. 17 miles, good for you!

Wow Kristi. Amazing. 17 miles is not even close to a desire for me. I only walk almost a mile at a time. Still learning to exercise out of need not desire. I want to read that book someday. I love the picture with you and the pie. You seem to have the greatest sense of humor. Can't wait to meet someday!

Manic does help indeed.

Your pie turned out beautiful, by the way. Perfect.
