- 6 days
- 5 different hotels
- 3 crazy little girls
- lots of treats on ice cream (bribes)
- 4 different countries (Germany, Luxemburg, Belgium and Netherlands)
- van Gogh, Vermeer (Girl in the Pearl Earring - oh my!) and Rembrandt
- Anne Franks Diary - yes the actual diary - who knew it was a darling book covered in Red plaid
- emails from Harold and his wife checking in on us, we will meet them for dinner next week.
- yummy waffels and dark wonderful chocolate
- when you ask the girls their favorite part so far - playing at the park and hanging out at the apartment we rented in Amersterdam - kids!
We are off to France tomorrow to spend a week in Paris. (oh my did I just type that?- this is a dream) The girls can't wait while Jeff and I have died and gone to Heaven as we discovered Brugge, Belgium and could live here forever!

I have seen the painting of The Girl With The Pearl Earring and was amazed by the beauty and size of it. All of Vermeers paintings are stunning to me.
I had no idea Anne Frank's diary was red plaid!
oh have fun and enjoy! we are planning the same trip for the spring... my hubby wants to see the tulips --- post the details when you get back- i'd love to stick them in our travel file...

so fun! i hope you continue to have a wonderful time! some of my most favorite memories are from these places! enjoy them and "lock it in"! and don't miss les jardin de tulieries! your girls will love it! and it is a great spot to see the eiffel tower light up the city at night! oh, europe...how lovely!
Brugge!!!! i love it there. we did the whole germany/luxembourg/belgium/france roadtrip over a long weekend when k was 6 weeks old. awesome trip. exploding diaper on the side of the road and all. :)

Wonderful! Marc and I went to Bruges for a weekend once when we were in Paris and it was just delightful.

ohhhhhhhhhhhhhh have so much fun, it has been way too many summers for me w/o europe...this must be remedied soon!
don't forget to have the fries in Brugges! They are unbelievable.
