A Memorable Sunday Night.
On Sunday night after our great Sunday Roast we got ready to go make our first visit to see the Eiffel Tower.
We plugged it into our best friend, marriage saver and virtual map. (I have no idea how we could have ever done these trips pre-GPS)
We got the most awesome free parking spot ever! I am telling you the rubbing your hands together thing really works.
Sally Jane opted to wear the chicken mask (something she picked up in Amsterdam)
The chicken fell asleep in the hour long line to get up for a view.

We came down and had yummy ice cream in the coolest flat cones I have ever seen. The guy who served us posed in the back for a photo!
I am horrible at night photos on my camera. But am great at setting it to automatic and using a fence post as a tripod and this is what I got.but the best part of the night was at 10:00 pm with the lights started to glitter. It lasted for about 10 minutes and was awesome!
we took this family photo by standing right in the center at the bottom and putting our camera on the ground and on timer. If it wasn't so blurry I would use it as our Christmas card photo.
We are hoping to make it back down to take a family photo in the day time, but time is running out. Today it is extremely hot and our energy is running low. Our list of things to do are getting revised as the day goes on. So much to see and so little time.

oh what a fabulous shot!!!! blurry or not that is fantastic with all of you under the tower. How can I be so jealous of you when I just got back from a amazing trip myself??
I love the family self-portrait under the tower! Awesome. I'm glad you got to see it all glittering, that's my favorite.
I LOVE the picture of you guys under the Eiffel Tower! I think it's Christmas card worthy even with the blur! What a great idea to do that.
Sally Jane's chicken mask is hilariously adorable.
What a trip! Your photos of the tower at night are spectacular! Safe travels home.
