Finding the joy in the Journey.

For 4 years I have been totally bugged that we have to park Jeff's car in the street and we don't have space to park in the garage... until 2 days ago when he came home from work.
He was walking up to the house and Caroline ran to greet him like she does any day that she is outside when he comes home.
I had my camera and grabbed a shot (ok it is not totally natural I grabbed the flag off of our mailbox and stuck it in her hand).
Jeff will only have 6 more days where he will wear this uniform. We treasure our time here in D.C. We have been given a gift that can never be paid back to have these experiences with him serving in the military. I used to always think that getting to fly to Europe every summer was the best part, but I think getting this photo takes the number one spot.
Just think I would never have gotten this photo if we had an attached garage to our house that he came in every day.

Really, this is the cutest pic. It is getting framed right? Maybe for the new office. I may just print this one myself.
