Herberto (that is my father-in-law) would be so proud to know this his amazing Gingerwood invention has been introduced in our Nations Capital and now in Colorado.
Jeff was nice enough to assemble many wooden houses for the women at our church to varnish and stain for their own families. Today was our "Souper Saturday" where women in our congregation come together to make a festivus of crafts all in one day and eat soup!

The girls and I (and some of the neighbor boys) decorated it all for Halloween.

I loved using the chunky green licorice as a garden hedge around the bottom. It is green apple flavored and tastes disgusting but makes a perfect garden delight for a haunted house.

And if you are peeking in the back of my photo at my awesome plant....

Here is a close of up of my $6.00 hydrangea that I got the week we moved in. It is turning a beautiful greenish blue. I just love it!

They truly are brilliant. I wish I'd thought of those when I had to come up with ideas for our Super Tuesday. Love the Halloween version.

I am SO jealous of your beautiful hydrangea! They don't seem to grow well here, but isn't your climate so similar to ours? Maybe I just need to give it a try...

You should totally sell these on Etsy or something. I think I would buy a whole neighborhood! :)

Today was our Super Saturday too! I went to a Bulb Planting Class, a Couponing Class, and a Freezer Meals class, plus I etched my last name onto 2 Pyrex casserole dishes. There were tons of other projects, but these are the ones I opted for this time.

I love that hydrangea!

Does it matter what kind of frosting you use on it?

would you be willing to share dimensions/type of wood, etc? I'd love to make one of these for my family. Do you have plans for these or did Jeff just make up the pattern. Such a neat idea!
