timE to rElaX!
My friend came over yesterday and surprised me with some incredible bath salts and a very insightful note about my upcomeing weeks.
"The weeks ahead will be full of laughter, tears, smiles, memories, stress, excitement, sadness, fun and reflection. Take a deep breath and enjoy the moment. Don't get caught up in all the little details."
I have already started feeling like I can't believe in one month we will no longer live here. This part of our life will be over. I do feel all of the above feelings and emotions. I may need to warn those who read this blog that it could get real emotional in the next few weeks.

... deep breath! Thanks Jordan!

Kristi-

I hope you know that we will all be here to help in your new transition. I guess the good thing is that with blogging you don't really lose your friends, you get to take them with you on all your new adventures. I understand how hard it is to leave a place that you have made so many memories. Enjoy the next month, relish in everything good and wonderful that will happen to you. And I can't wait to "go" to WAshington DC I have never been there. Oh, and you are one step closer to Idaho.

I am in denial about you leaving. A couple weeks ago I was awake during the night and happened to think about you guys leaving and I cried. I'm tearing up right now, so on to something else...

The anticipation of a move is a bitter/sweet experience. I did it so many times as a child (not the same thing as what you're going through, but still) and sometimes think it's awful to know that the time is ticking away like that.

It's sweet you have such nice friends who are already thinking about how this next month will be for you. So nice.

Good luck with your move. I think the bitter/sweet comment sums it all up. I feel like my new motto is "it just trade offs." I don't micro manage as much because there seems to mostly just be trade offs not horrible and fabulous. I hope you find the fabulous things about your new home quickly!

We look forward to the emotional posts, it makes everyone feel more real. I can't believe the emotions I go through while blogging, writing and reading. Who would have thought....

I know what you are going through. Moving is very hard especially when you are saying good-bye to friends you love. I feel like there are reasons we meet certain individuals. Reasons why they're in our lives, but no matter what it's always hard to move on when its time. Just think of all the great people you will meet and come to love in MD. Good luck with everything.

I hate moving, but I love meeting new people and keeping in touch with the old friends. I have a group of girlfriends from NOLA and we get together once a year. We keep in touch via email so we don't feel so distant, but I think we are actually better friends now. Because we have to make that effort. It is terrible to move, but.. you will get to meet all these new and wonderful people, but still retain the ones you already have made in TN. Good luck this next month- relish ever second and plan your next visit back. It will make leaving a lot easier!

Moving is hell, no doubt about it. But I am glad you have friends there to help you through the leaving, and your blogging community to help you through the arrival! You will be emotional for awhile, and that's ok. I'm pulling for you.

I am sure you are going to fall in love with Washington DC...there is so much art and culture and beautiful architecture! I remember going to all the monuments when I was a child. We used to go and fly kites where that tall skinny building with red eyes is....(it looked like that for me as a little girl) but I too, left a best friend and a first boy friend--chucky we used to call him--you will probably miss the cherry blossoms...but will catch them next spring...beautiful! here I am telling you all the wonderful things that I remember from pictures when I was 5 and 6!
