Out of the mouths of babes
What I have heard today
"Our house needs an elevator"
Annie Kate age 8 (given she is sick but still, what must my pioneer heritage be thinking)
"I burped just like dad"
Caroline age 3
"Knock, Knock" who's there
Monk (which means monkey) Monkey who?
Monk you (repeat 25 times)
Sally Jane age 2
"Knock, Knock" who's there
Monk (which means monkey) Monkey who?
Monk you (repeat 25 times)

i LOVE the droopy diaper! you ARE normal like me!!
I love the things kids say and wish for! Super cute! Thanks for sharing!
I love the 'repeat 25 times'! So true, they never get tired of themselves. Especially if they get just one laugh.
Dad has got to be proud! Too funny!
Oh, Knock Knock jokes are a killer! We end up in stitches at the sheer surrealism of Erin's jokes. She thinks they're textbook funny, but they're just weeeeird.
I didn't notice the saggy nappy til you mentioned it, Kristi - now I can't stop looking at it! (so thanks for that...!)
I love that you posted the things your girls have said. Ryley is not talking to that extent yet. I can't wait until she does. I do rememeber my little sisters telling us this joke: 1,2,3...elephants! I have no idea why that was funny, but it kept them happy for hours.
I remember the knock knock phase with my daughter. My son asks the same question at least 25 times in a row, no matter how we answer it.
The droopy diaper just adds to the joy that is summer. It means they were having fun in some water.
kids crack me up with the stuff they come up with. Too cute.
elizabeth in most homes it would mean playing in water, in my home it usually means I forget to change their diaper..
E is really into knock knocks right now too. Her favorite and one that I don't mind so much is: Knock, Knock/Whose There?/Tank/Tank Who?/You're Welcome!
I figure at least it sounds polite! Is that photo from last year or did your weather do a major turn around??
By the way, I just got your "Shamrockin' Mail" I LOVE IT! Great concept and am so impress you did it. You really amaze me girl!
The knock knock jokes are cute for about the first 10 times and then it's hard not to run and hide.
What's up with Annie Kate being sick again?
I can't believe SJ is telling knock-knock jokes! That is hilarious! And that just might be the droopiest diaper I have ever seen. By the way, I got my birthday package today and I am SO intrigued!
I love the things that come out of my kids mouths. I try to write it all down also so I don't forget. I also make my husband write what he remembers also. He remembers things that I have totaly forgotten.
THe diaper is classic.
love all of them! one of my favorite things is reading little things my little ones have said.
