I can't believe this is it. It has all come to an end. We say goodbye to Washington D.C. and fly out in just a few days.
Our computer and all will be boxed up in the morning. This will be my last post from my little town home on the east coast.
I have written my Farewell D.C. post in my head for the last year and unfortunately just don't have the time tonight to write it. So maybe on the plane.

But I can say this. It was here that
  • I learned I had huge calves (duh look at the photo) and learned I had a huge heart.
  • I learned that I thrive off adventure and am a very good tourist.
  • I learned how to see in me what others have seen for years.
  • I learned how to feel the spirit of God and act on it, no questions asked.
  • I learned how little I really knew about our great country.
  • I learned that unless you know absolute everything you have no idea in the world what you really want or really need.
I needed D.C. and I think I can honestly say D.C. needed me!
Goodbye East Coast. Colorado here we come!!!

This almost made me cry because I know your heart must be breaking on the one hand yet you're excited on the other. It's hard to leave a place you love but Colorado is the beginning of a new chapter...and I wish you and your wonderful family the best of luck! Besides, hopefully we'll be neighbors in the near future!

I hope you find lots of cool new adventures to take in Colorado. I am sorry that I never got to get to DC (which is less than 4 hrs from our house in NC) to meet you.

We all look forward to hearing about everything - pink!! :)

That is quite a list of lessons, KBC! Learning those things would be worth any amount of heartache.

I so love the way you make the most of everything, and I have no doubt that Colorado needs you just as much.

I really can't believe it has already been 4 years!!! You soaked up everything and really took D.C. by storm, what a great thing to be able to say! I'm just bummed that I never got to come visit and see it through your eyes.

Good luck with your move! I hope you're drinking lots of water so you don't dehydrate with tear-loss.

Kristi, we've never met, but as soon as that first picture of your family popped up, I teared up. I think it's because you've made it so abundantly clear how much you've loved your time in DC...I was having sympathy moving pains for you!

All the best in your new adventure! Can't wait to read about it!

What a blessing it has been for your family to live and love there. I am sure it is a great loss for everyone around that area when you leave! I agree... you have much to offer in CO and I am sure, in time, you will love the people and the area.

I admire how adventureous you are and just go and do! I love that you made the most of where you lived! That is inspiring!

Good luck! Breathe. All will be well...in time!
